Welcome to EA's EnviTreat Laboratory in Fayetteville, Arkansas!
Housed at the University of Arkansas Engineering Genesis Technology Incubator, EA’s EnviTreat laboratory delivers treatability testing for new projects and optimization/process investigation for existing or expanding water and wastewater treatment processes. These tests produce data for design and operation and are often paired with concept process design for treatment solution implementation.
The cornerstone for the laboratory’s practice is the use of respirometry for the aerobic and anaerobic biological systems. However, the laboratory also offers great depth in physical/chemical treatment investigations including membrane filtration, coagulation precipitation, advanced oxidation, adsorption, thermal destruction, and foam fractionation.
A main product line is our biochemical methane potential testing service, using techniques that produce far more data than typical biochemical methane potential testing. EnviTreat also routinely performs aerobic and anaerobic biodegradability testing. Aerobic biodegradability testing is performed using Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) 301F and 302B.
Our laboratory team also routinely constructs and operates lab-scale and field-scale pilot reactors for both biological and physical/chemical systems. Laboratory-scale pilots typically provide the same level of confidence in process performance as field-scale pilots but at a fraction of the cost. Pilots tested in the past are typically less than 10 percent of the cost of an equivalent field-scale pilot.
