Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report (link will open in a new tab) for calendar year 2023. The comprehensive report, which also serves as our Public Benefit Corporation Statement, documents EA’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

“As servant leaders, we are dedicated to transparency and accountability, ensuring that our actions align with our benefit corporation values and mission,” said Ian MacFarlane, Chair, CEO, and President. “Our long-term vision is to foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering our employees and building lasting partnerships with our clients and communities as we work together to create a more resilient and sustainable future.”

EA’s 2023 CSR Report, highlighting the firm’s 50th anniversary, underscores our dedication to improving the quality of the environment in which we live, one project at a time®. The report has been prepared in accordance with leading reporting frameworks—Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Professional and Commercial Services Industry Standard. The 2023 CSR Report is a companion report to our annual comprehensive Carbon Footprint Report (link will open in a new tab) prepared using World Resources Institute (WRI) Standards, and also joins our inaugural CDP Climate Change questionnaire disclosure.

In 2023, EA invested in nearly 47,000 of professional development training for our employee-owners,  directed 39 percent of our supply chain spend to small and diverse business enterprises as part of our Supplier Diversity Program, and was recognized by Environmental Business International with a Business Achievement Award for Diversity and Inclusion. Employees completed more than 2,200 hours of volunteerism and continued their charitable giving support for Water For People (link will open in a new tab) through EA’s Workplace Giving Program.

“Our 50th anniversary is more than a celebration of our past—it’s a springboard for the next 50 years of innovation and impact in environmental consulting,” said Brian Lesinski, Executive Vice President and Director CSR. “Looking ahead, we’re more committed than ever to driving meaningful change, empowering our employee-owners, and partnering with communities to build a more resilient, sustainable world.”
