Hunt Valley, Maryland (April 2 2024)—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)–Kansas City District has awarded a Pre-placed Remedial Action Contract (PRAC) to EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services. Projects assigned under this Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) will be performed for customers of the Northwestern Division of USACE and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2.
Work performed under this 5-year contract may involve environmental removal actions, remedial actions, and other remediation activities related to hazardous, toxic, or low-level radiological waste; groundwater treatment; and contaminated sediment. The MATOC has a total capacity of $245 million.
“EA has worked with the USACE-Kansas City District for more than 2 decades, executing more than $100 million of work at dozens of investigation and cleanup sites,” said Jim Costello, P.G., Senior Vice President and Program Manager. “Our expertise in a wide range of investigation and remediation approaches for legacy and emerging contaminants, will support the District’s environmental mission to restore contaminated sites, reducing risk and protecting human health.”
EA has completed a variety of task orders for USACE-Kansas City District, including groundwater remediation; landfill capping; residential remediation; treatment system installation, operation, and maintenance; and long-term monitoring. Last year, the District awarded the firm an Environmental Remediation Services small-business set-aside contract valued at up to $60 million.
