Hunt Valley, Maryland (26 March 2026)—EA has been selected to provide Spatial Asset Management services for the City of Boston Department of Public Works.
The 3-year contract is valued in excess of $2.3 million and will focus on implementing a program to manage and track critical infrastructure assets, including pavement, sidewalks, pavement markings, and utility cuts. The work involves automated condition assessments and data integration to support long-term maintenance and budgeting.
“We’ve been providing asset management services for the City since 2023 and have a track record of successful software adoption with City staff,” said Beth Schrayshuen, Manager of Technology Solutions and Services. “Through this latest contract, we’re excited to support the City in its efforts to create a comprehensive geospatial system to manage its public infrastructure assets, help to inform data-driven decision-marking, and promote interdepartmental coordination.”
EA is currently providing similar support for the Boston Department of Transportation’s OpenGov Asset Management (formerly Cartegraph) program. This experience, along with established relationships with industry solution providers OpenGov Asset Management and Esri, has given the EA team a thorough understanding of the City’s current geospatial platform and a unique ability optimize solutions to meet program needs.
“EA’s asset management capabilities and experience have continued to grow substantially—more than doubling our awards in asset management-related services over the past 5 years,” said Vice President Jason Samus, Director, Technology Services. “This contract is a direct result of Beth and her team’s unique, holistic approach to successful implementation, data integration, and program development.”
