Hunt Valley, Maryland (29 November 2023)—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)–Baltimore District has awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and Military Munitions (MM) projects to EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), as part of its joint venture (JV) with Weston Solutions, Inc. (the Weston-EA JV). Projects assigned under this Multiple Award Task Order Contract will be performed for customers of the USACE–Baltimore District, including but not limited to customers in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
“The Weston-EA JV leverages the resources and history of two employee-owned firms with a combined 28-year history serving the Baltimore District on 10 Architect/Engineering HTRW contracts,” said Gordy Porter, EA Senior Vice President and Site Characterization and Remediation Business Unit Director. “Our team of 1,600 professionals located in the District’s area of responsibility can deliver the vital engineering and science-based solutions that USACE requires to support their partners.”
The 5-year contract is valued at a total capacity of $200 million, shared amongst 10 awardees. Work performed will include a full range of HTRW and MM services, including investigations, chemical sampling, testing, and analyses; comprehensive planning, permitting, and modeling; program management; feasibility and engineering studies and reports, including conceptual designs, plans, and specifications; construction phase services, including oversight, drawing reviews, and preparation of operation and maintenance manuals; natural resource planning level surveys and field inspections; and other related services.
