Dry Creek
Under subcontract to Granite Construction, EA supported the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Air Force in meeting requirements related to National Environmental Policy Act and the California Environmental Quality Act, including permitting and regulatory compliance support for a fish passage improvement project.
National Park Service (NPS)
For over three decades, EA has been working on behalf of the NPS. Under numerous contract vehicles, we have completed projects in more than 100 national park system units. We have completed all facets of the NEPA process, including public outreach activities, agency consultation, natural and cultural resource surveying and monitoring, preparation of biological assessments and essential fish habitat assessments, maintenance of decision files, and drafting decision documents.
Sparrows Point Container Terminal
EA played a central role in navigating the complex regulatory landscape for a proposed 330-acre redevelopment project featuring 168 acres for a new container terminal and intermodal yard, plus 162 acres for support facilities. We supported the client through compliance with NEPA, federal and state permitting, and conducted extensive environmental surveys to inform the EIS, which evaluated dredging of 4.2 million cubic yards of sediment for channel improvements. The EIS was selected for and was the first project to finish expedited review earlier than scheduled under Title 41 of the FAST Act, which helped streamline the process and ensure transparency.
