EA’s diverse natural resource expertise and nationwide project experiences allow us to quickly address issues, effectively communicate resolutions, and proactively work with contractors and regulatory agencies to minimize potential issues.
When constructing in environmentally-sensitive areas, EA provides biological resource monitoring to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions, and provide excellent environmental stewardship of natural resources. EA biological monitors work closely with construction crews, client, design engineers, and when requested, directly communicate with regulatory agencies to establish productive working relationships with all participants of the project. We attend daily safety meetings and weekly construction meetings. Often, we are requested to develop Environmental Awareness Training Programs to instruct the construction contractors about the roles of the biological resources monitor, threatened and endangered species that could be encountered, compensatory mitigation efforts that may take place, and best management practices that contractors agreed to comply with.
