SAME Executive Director Mike Weir presented the honor in Baltimore this fall.
The award recognizes Melissa for her contributions as a founder, long-time supporter, and strong advocate for MEGA Maryland, an annual 1-day conference focused on helping today’s small and minority businesses grow and thrive in Maryland’s economy. Recently held for the 8th consecutive year, MEGA Maryland provides attendees with information on federal, state, and local government contract opportunities through a full day of speakers, exhibits, and one-on-one meetings with government and large business representatives.

Melissa has been an integral member of the EA team for over 19 years, directing the firm’s Supplier Diversity Program since 2013. For more than 25 years, she has been an active member of SAME, holding numerous leadership positions. Melissa was inducted into the SAME Academy of Fellows in 2011, and currently serves as Chairman of its Investment Committee.
