Continuously providing services since 2006, EA has completed over $9 million in services for all three Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) transportation modal divisions (Highways, Airports, and Harbors). Projects cover four districts (Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, Kauai) on six different islands at 38 separate HDOT facilities. Under a multi-year EHS Compliance Services contract, EA and subcontractor professionals provide in-house consultant for Highways Oahu District serving 300+ HDOT employees. EA’s team is responsible for environmental regulatory compliance programs (waste management, tank management, pesticide application, etc.) and safety regulatory compliance programs (respiratory protection, fall protection, confined space, etc.), permit management (Solid Waste Management Plan, Solid Waste, Wastewater Discharge, Underground Storage Tank), program development (Solid Waste Management Plans, Stormwater Pollution Control Plan, and EHS compliance), miscellaneous training (environmental and safety), regulatory compliance (environmental and safety), and sustained management systems (environmental and safety). EA developed and sustained an EMS for all 38 HDOT Maintenance Baseyards. In-house staff provide environmental and safety training services – NPDES Permit and Stormwater Pollution Control Plan Training (including conducting Stormwater Pollution Control Plan Sampling, Inspections, and plan updates); OSHA Safety Training (including Hazardous Communications). EA is currently implementing ISO 45001-based SMS for Highways Oahu District.
