For a Pollution Prevention Plan update in alignment with an installation’s current EMS and applicable regulations, EA conducted pollution prevention opportunity assessments and performed technical and economic feasibility analyses for over 50 processes focusing on waste minimization, reduction, and source control. The feasibility analysis identified “quick win” projects where pollution prevention process improvements yielded economic payback over $1 million annually. Page BreakInitially, a meeting was held with stakeholders, including vendors, to define the most efficient approach for waste program data collection. EA performed surveys with waste vendors to characterize waste generation data. Supplemented survey data with process reviews to further identify potential pollution prevention.
