EA performed habitat restoration evaluation, design construction oversight, and post-construction monitoring for the Harsens Island/Krispin Drain Habitat Restoration Site. After successfully obtaining approval of the restoration design and all required permits, EA began post-construction assistance, including construction oversight of maintenance and re-design construction activities, community involvement support, and post-construction ecological monitoring (wetland monitoring, terrestrial plant monitoring, invasive species mapping, herpetological monitoring, fish community monitoring, stream habitat, and macroinvertebrate monitoring, photographic monitoring, and fluvial geomorphic monitoring). Monitoring activities were completed during two seasonal events in 2017 and 2018 for a total of four monitoring efforts. Monitoring activities were summarized in a Post-Construction Ecological Monitoring Report to compare post-restoration conditions to the data collected prior to restoration efforts in order to show ecological uplift across the site.
