EA has supported Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) for over 10 years in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Agency’s Environmental Management Programs and Environmental Information Management Systems (EMIS). EA facilitated a series of requirements and design meetings with MDOT staff to identify and finalize the requirements of the custom-developed EIMS, which were memorialized in a series of system documentation. Based on the documented final requirements, EA developed the enterprise EIMS following an iterative approach and facilitated a series of interim reviews with MDOT to continuously reaffirm and adjust the system functionality. After development was complete, EA facilitated a series of testing cycles to ensure the system functioned per MDOT’s final requirements, implemented the EIMS in EA’s hosting environment, and conducted final end-user training.
In addition to supporting MDOT, EA recently provided IT consulting and system implementation support to a confidential Class A railroad client during the requirements, testing, and implementation of their selected EMIS, Enablon. EA’s IT professionals assisted in the identification and prioritization of system functionality and supported the evaluation and testing of the audit components of the system. EA supported implementation of the system into production and developed detailed user materials for the audit components of the system. Additionally, EA supported the configuration of a series of reports within Enablon as well as a sophisticated, customized dashboard in Microsoft Excel for the audit program.
