Welcome to EA Deerfield!
With the purchase of Hazelton Environmental Services in 1980, EA began local operations in Chicago focused primarily on providing Clean Water Act services to the power industry and then expanding its services to support municipal, state, federal, and other private sector clients. The Deerfield office is home to EA’s Midwest Biology Laboratory and its subject matter experts for freshwater fish, macroinvertebrates, and mussels, as well as aquatic habitat, Sections § 316(a), and § 316(b) of the Clean Water Act. These experts support our clients’ environmental compliance and permitting needs throughout the United States. The office also offers expertise in multi-media sampling, habitat assessment, bioassessment, hydropower relicensing, and lake management.
