Ivy Harvey Elected President of the National Association of Ordnance Contractors

Headshot of Ivy Harvey­­Hunt Valley, Maryland (12 February 2024)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, is thrilled to announce that Vice President and Program Manager Ivy Harvey P.E., PMP, has been elected as President of the National Association of Ordnance Contractors (NAOC). Founded in 1995, the non-profit organization serves as the unified industry voice representing its members in the ever-evolving field of military munitions response services.

“This prestigious role reflects Ivy’s exceptional leadership skills and commitment to the industry,” said Kim Nelson, Senior Vice President and Director, Federal Programs. “Simultaneously, it also highlights EA’s commitment as a Public Benefit Corporation to support and promote industry organizations while creating opportunities for the development and growth of our team through professional involvement.”

Ivy is an environmental and chemical engineer with an impressive 20 years of experience in both industrial and environmental consulting. She earned a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from John Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Arts in French, from Montana State University. She is both a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland and a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.

“Serving as conduit between government and the contracting community, NAOC represents its membership to facilitate consistency within the munitions response program, streamline project execution, enhance quality, and promote safety for members of both the workforce and the public,” said Ivy. “I’m excited to lead discussions on issues facing the industry and participate in the dialogue that helps shape the execution of the nation’s munitions response programs.”

NAOC’s membership has grown to include approximately 70 companies providing diverse services such as geophysical services, detection equipment, analytical laboratories, regulatory support, and related environmental/engineering services. Ivy’s leadership will extend EA’s visibility within the Munitions Response industry and provide opportunities to collaborate with key agencies within the U.S. Department of Defense, including the Army, Navy, and National Guard Bureau.
