EA Secures EcoVadis Silver Sustainability Rating

EcoVadis Silver Rating Medal for February 2024Hunt Valley, Maryland (19 March 2024)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced that the firm’s corporate sustainability management efforts earned a Silver Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis. EA’s overall score, which places the company in the 94th percentile among rated organizations within the Architectural and Engineering industry grouping, increased from our 2022 assessment. The continuous improvement reaffirms EA’s unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices.

EcoVadis, a globally recognized and trusted sustainability rating organization, evaluated EA’s corporate sustainability management across 21 criteria addressing environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement associated with the Architectural and Engineering industry. The Silver rating places EA among the top 15 percent of the more than 130,000 companies rated globally across all industry sectors.

EA’s publicly available Public Benefit Statement/CSR and Carbon Footprint reports are prepared annually in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative and World Resources Institute standards, respectively. The firm’s CSR Program was rated Gold in 2021 and 2018, and Silver in 2016 and 2014. EA’s 2024 Silver rating represents the company’s first evaluation across EcoVadis’ revised Medals Program, which was updated to reflect improved alignment with regulatory growth and advancements in corporate sustainability business practices. The assessment benchmarks EA across all industries and drives the firm’s process for continual improvement in all aspects of corporate environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG).
