Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 March 2022)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded a statewide contract to provide Superfund Engineering Services by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). With a maximum value of $8 million, this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract is for 4 continuous years, with an optional 1-year renewal period.
As with its predecessor contract, under this TCEQ contract, EA will conduct remedial engineering and oversight services, and other duties as needed at various sites that are within the purview of the Superfund Program, including State Superfund sites and Federal Superfund sites managed by the State of Texas. Specifically, our team will be tasked to perform feasibility studies, engineer remedial designs, provide remedial action oversight, perform operation and maintenance services, and optimize groundwater treatment system operations. Activities may include the preparation of engineered designs for the excavation and on-site containment or off-site disposal of contaminated soil, stabilization of waste, new remediation systems, and performance improvement of existing treatment systems for groundwater or wastewater contaminated with hazardous constituents. The contract may also be utilized for similar activities in other program areas at the discretion of TCEQ.
“The award of this successor contract reflects EA’s demonstrated success through our innovative application of technology; focus on cost control, quality, and worker safety; and strong customer service delivery,” said Roger Place, P.G., Senior Vice President and Director of EA’s Central Business Unit. “As a highly experienced TCEQ services provider for 20 years, we look forward to continuing to apply our comprehensive knowledge in support of TCEQ’s mission to clean up Superfund sites across the state.”
