Amy Lambert Honored by Water For People with the 2026 Kenneth J. Miller Founders’ Award

Headshot of Amy LambertHunt Valley, Maryland (2 July 2026)—EA is pleased to announce that Amy Lambert, Vice President and Director of Communications, has been recognized by Water For People with a 2026 Kenneth J. Miller Founders’ Award.

“Supporting Water For People is important to me because something as basic as clean water shouldn’t determine a person’s health, education, or future,” said Lambert. “As someone working within the environmental consulting field and personally passionate about sustainability, I care about building communities that are both resilient and equitable. Reliable and safe access to water and sanitation is at the heart of that.”

Since 2016, EA has partnered with Water For People through the Charitable Giving pillar of its Public Benefit Corporation framework. Over that time, the firm and employees across the country have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through payroll contributions, direct donations matched by the company, one-time gifts, and organized fundraising efforts.

“Amy’s guidance supporting communications, streamlining announcements, and maintaining transparent information with staff strengthens EA’s Workplace Giving Program,” said Alyssa Watkins, leader of EA’s Water For People Champions Committee. “She is an asset to our program and often volunteers at events and leads outreach in the focused payroll donation campaign from World Water Day to Earth Day.”

The Water For People Board established the Kenneth J. Miller Founders’ Award in 2001 to honor outstanding volunteers. Each year, the award recognizes exceptional volunteers nominated by the Water For People Committees and Workplace Giving Partners.

With a career spanning more than 35 years in the architecture/engineering industry, Lambert has a wide range of experience in communications, marketing, and media/public relations. In her role as EA’s Director of Communications, she is responsible for development and management of branding, messaging, and strategy to engage employees, clients, and the public. Amy is a member of EA’s Water For People Champions Committee and has supported the EA/Cycling For Water endurance cycling teams during races.
