Promotion of Scott Dobson and Jamie Suski to Business Unit Director

Hunt Valley, Maryland (5 March 2026)—EA is proud to announce the promotion of Vice Presidents Scott Dobson and Jamie Suski, PhD, to Business Unit Director roles. Both promotions are part of EA’s succession planning process, following the retirement of operations leaders in the firm’s Site Characterization and Remediation (SCR) and Water and Natural Resources (WNR) business units.

Dobson now leads the firm’s SCR unit, which provides services to address contaminated sites and create opportunities that help clients maximize the value of their properties through innovative and cost-effective remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial actions. Suski now leads the firm’s WNR unit, which focuses on environmental planning, analysis, and permitting; sediment management; water/wastewater; ecological restoration; coastal resilience; and ecotoxicology, treatability, and biological laboratory analyses.

“Scott’s and Jamie’s promotions reflect the strength of our commitment to promoting from within—elevating proven leaders who deliver measurable value for our clients, employees, and communities,” said Ian MacFarlane, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Each will build on our 50-plus‑year record of technical and client-service excellence to guide the firm and clients through the fast-pace of regulatory, socioeconomic, technical evolution.”

Dobson and Suski succeed Gordy Porter and Jeffrey Boltz, PhD, respectively, who recently retired after long and successful careers leading EA’s SCR and WNR units.

“With a strong succession plan in place for these important roles, Jamie and Scott have been serving as Deputy Directors in their business units for the past year,” said Chris Canonica, Chief Operating Officer. “Scott has a wealth of experience in SCR, while Jamie’s extensive background in aquatic ecotoxicology, risk assessment, and environmental policy will be invaluable to our WNR unit. Both have demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision, and I am confident they will excel in their new roles.”
