Headshot of Bob CaseyHunt Valley, Maryland (6 January 2025)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, is proud to announce the promotion of Vice President Robert Casey, PMP to Director of the firm’s new Northeast Business Unit, which is comprised of the firm’s offices and resources embedded in its New York and New England operations. These locations support public and private sector clients with a wide array of services, including site characterization and remediation, natural resources, environmental compliance, asset management, climate change, and coastal resilience.

“Our successful project execution, client service, and management strategies have helped EA maintain financial stability, recognized technical expertise, and a diverse and talented team of professionals,” said Chris Canonica, PE, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Creation of the Northeast Business Unit is the next step in implementing our strategic plan, better serving our clients while creating opportunities for career advancement within the region.”

Prior to this promotion, Casey has served as Vice President and New York Operations Manager for the last 10 years. He is also a Senior Scientist, with more than 23 years of experience focused on site investigations and remediation, environmental management, compliance, and remedial construction projects. Other than an internship, Casey has spent his entire professional career at EA, advancing from an environmental technician to his current role overseeing a strong and growing workload performed by the New York team for a variety of public and private sector clients. He will continue serving as New York profit center manager through the transition.

Casey was promoted to New York Operations Manager in 2013 and Vice President in 2016. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) and completed the Advanced Management Program of the Aresty School of Executive Education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Casey is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.

EA’s presence in New York dates back to 1975, when the firm was still called Ecological Analysts, Inc. Originally focused on serving the Hudson River Valley, the Syracuse location opened in 1996 to meet the demands for its services in upstate New York. Three years later the firm opened an office in Warwick, Rhode Island to support clients throughout southern New England.
