Kathleen Voigt Appointed to Wildlife Habitat Council Executive Advisory Committee

Headshot of Kathleen VoigtHunt Valley, Maryland (10 October 2024)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC, a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, is proud to announce that Kathleen Voigt, CF APMP (Director, Private Sector Proposals and Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator), has been appointed to join the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) Executive Advisory Committee (EAC).

Founded in 1988, WHC is a global leader in driving business solutions for biodiversity. Member organizations span 19 countries and 47 states. WHC is dedicated to empowering the private sector to take action for nature by developing strategic frameworks that help companies integrate biodiversity with climate action, equity and community engagement, fostering sustainable ecosystems, and healthier communities. EAC was recently created to evaluate and guide the future of the WHC Conservation Certification®, which serves as a tool to help private sector organizations bridge the gap between profit-driven operations and environmental responsibility.

“WHC is empowering private industries to lead in innovative conservation and wildlife habitat management practices, driving meaningful environmental change as part of overall corporate stewardship,” she said. “I’m eager to collaborate with fellow EAC members to enhance the strategic direction and impact of WHC Certification. By advocating for aligning WHC certification requirements with existing voluntary and regulatory reporting frameworks already in use by corporations, we have the opportunity to streamline the certification process and encourage broader adoption of conservation initiatives while amplifying WHC’s mission.”

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Voigt has extensive experience in sustainability assurance and environmental consulting. Her expertise includes global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting frameworks including the Global Reporting Initiative Universal Standards, CDP, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures.
