Our services start at the planning phase with the development of a MEC Site-Specific Safety and Health Plan detailing standard operating procedures for MEC screening, identification, disposal, emergency response, and safety briefings. Our MEC safety plans follow all the time-tested DoD MEC safety protocols and policies. For sites with a moderate to high probability of MEC, EA also develops an Explosive Safety Submissions (ESS) and Explosives Siting Plans (ESP)
EA routinely conducts MEC awareness training and safety briefings for onsite personnel that follows the DoD 3Rs (recognize, retreat, and report) of munitions safety for low probability MEC Hazard sites during construction phases where UXO personnel are not required or present. EA is OSHA-compliant specifications for preventing accidents and protecting the health and safety of site personnel.
