Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Washington, D.C. is responsible for maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of 18 million square feet of buildings and over 450 acres of land throughout the Capital Region. AOC must submit annual reports to Congress documenting sustainability performance in accordance with Executive Orders and other permit requirements.  EA has been working with AOC for over a decade assisting with operational compliance, program management, and reporting for its energy and sustainability program including: utility usage forecasting; concept and white paper development for new sustainability initiatives; measurement, benchmarking; assistance with congressional and AOC management reports; energy and water utility analysis support; management and tracking of the Annual Capital Improvements Plan; and update of the AOC Annual Energy Program Summary Report.  EA defined best practices outlining measurable goals, performance targets, and implementation strategies.  EA developed a supporting Sustainability Information Management System to provide dynamic reporting, charting, project tracking, data management, and system administration for sustainability program requirements in accordance with Presidential Budget Requests and Executive Order requirements. EA has supported AOC since 2007 providing a wide range of mission support.
