EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Awarded Contract to Provide Environmental Services to the City of Baltimore

Hunt Valley, Maryland (11 April 2017)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to perform On-Call Environmental Services for Hazardous Waste Handling for the City of Baltimore, Department of Public Works, Office of Engineering and Construction. The base period of performance for this contract is 3 years, with options for up to two 1-year extensions, for a total of 5 years. The maximum value of this contract is $1,000,000.

Under this contract, EA will be responsible for executing tasks involving characterization, delineation, and analysis of hazardous waste; designing safe methods for disposal; providing oversight for construction projects impacted by the presence of hazardous waste; and developing and implementing public information and education programs. In conducting the work, EA will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; prepare permit applications, right-of-way entries, reports, shop drawing reviews, cost estimates, and bid documents; provide consulting during construction projects; and provide necessary manpower to meet schedules and City requirements, including emergency services. Projects may include health and environmental hazards associated with water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure and facilities and underground storage tank sites.
