EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC to Provide Environmental Support Services to the Guam Department of Public Works

Hunt Valley, Maryland (25 October 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide environmental support services by Department of Public Works (DPW), Government of Guam. With an initial term for 3 years, and the potential for an extension of 2 years, the contract has a total period of performance of 5 years and a maximum value of $500,000.

Under this island-wide contract, EA will perform biological assessments related to threatened and endangered species, wetland mitigation monitoring services, and other environmental services as required for roadway and bridge projects on Guam. EA will be tasked to conduct desktop studies, complete field surveys, and develop reports to support compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and coordination with Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. In addition, EA will conduct assessment and delineations of existing wetland mitigation sites and prepare corrective action plans to improve their performance, if required.

“We are very pleased to receive this contract award with the Guam DPW. With a presence on Guam for more than 20 years, EA has a vast knowledge of the Island’s unique flora and fauna, wetlands and land features, as well as the regulatory requirements involved with infrastructure development,” said Robert Shambach, P.G., Guam Office Manager. “This award further demonstrates EA’s exceptional ability to support the Government of Guam in its efforts to properly manage the Island’s natural resources in coordination with environmental regulatory authorities and the island community.”

EA would like to thank the Governor of Guam and the Guam DPW for providing this new consultant opportunity to support their roadway projects.
