EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Announces the Addition of Kim Nelson, P.G., to Its Senior Technical Staff

Hunt Valley, Maryland (13 May 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that Kim Nelson, P.G., has joined the firm as a Program Manager in its Hunt Valley, Maryland office. In this position, Kim will be responsible for managing large federal contracts, implementing strategic business development initiatives, and performing senior technical review. Reflective of her career, Kim’s focus will be on Department of Defense (DoD) environmental programs, specifically those under the purview of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

Widely recognized as an authority on the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), Kim has advanced knowledge of the complexities involved with the investigation and remediation of low level radiological contamination. This includes specialized expertise in risk communications as she has successfully established effective dialogue among stakeholders on the critical issues of human health and safety. Kim brings to EA more than 30 years of management and technical experience providing environmental investigation and remediation services to DoD, Department of Energy, and commercial clients.

Kim is a Professional Geologist in the state of Wyoming. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology and English from Augustana College, where she graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious academic honors society.
