EA’s Rick Hanoski Honored with Prestigious Industry Award
Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 January 2015)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that Richard “Rick” Hanoski, EA’s National Program Manager for Munitions Response Services, was honored with the 2014 Leadership Award for Industry by the National Association of Ordnance Contractors (NAOC). Given annually, the award recognizes significant contributions made by a private sector professional to advance the military munitions response program industry and promote the image and professionalism of NAOC. Rick was nominated and selected by a body of his peers based on his significant contributions to the successful integration of quality and responsive munitions and explosives of concern services to the Department of Defense.
Over the course of his more than 40-year career, Rick has helped to define the ever evolving industry of military munitions response. As a certified Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, his focus has always been on personnel and public safety as well as the application of cost-effective technologies. At EA, Rick is responsible for managing the growth, quality, and safety of the company’s munitions response services, reviewing and providing technical direction for EA’s Munitions Response operations and associated activities. Rick retired from the U.S. Navy in 1994, where he served as Chief Inspector for the Commander Mine Warfare Command, Officer-in-Charge of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Shipboard and Mobile Detachment, and Officer-in-Charge of a Mine Countermeasure Detachment. Since NAOC’s inception in 1995, Rick has been an active member and committed industry leader. Currently, he is the NAOC Vice President. Previously, Rick served on the Membership Services Committee, the Board of Directors for multiple terms, and as the Chair of the Operations and Standards Committee.
“It is always an honor when an EA employee is recognized by their peers. This award is a testament to Rick’s hard work, vision, and commitment to the military munitions response industry,” stated Fritz Meyer, Senior Vice President. “Rick is respected throughout the industry for his professionalism, ethics, and outstanding leadership qualities.
