EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Awarded Multiple Award Environmental Services Contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers–Baltimore District
Hunt Valley, Maryland (30 April 2013)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded a Multiple Award Environmental Services (MAES) contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)–Baltimore District. This contract has a 5-year term, with a maximum joint total acquisition value of $100 million to be executed among five small business contractors. Task orders under the contract will support USACE–Baltimore District and its customers primarily at locations across the USACE’s North Atlantic Division, and at other assigned mission areas, possibly including areas outside the continental United States.
Under this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, EA will provide USACE with environmental investigations and response actions at known or suspected hazardous and toxic waste sites. The contract may also require characterization and/or remediation of radioactive material, military munitions and explosives of concern, or munitions constituents, as well as environmental sustainability services. Task orders may include investigations and field studies; geologic, geotechnical, and geophysical investigations; groundwater modeling; human health and ecological risk assessment; health physics and industrial hygiene; ordnance and explosives safety; design and implementation of remediation strategies; engineering services during remedial construction; treatment system operations and maintenance; and data collection, management and interpretation, and public relations support.
This new contract is EA’s second MAES contract with USACE–Baltimore District. Under its previous contract, EA was awarded more than a dozen task orders for environmental services at a variety of locations including Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Fort George G. Meade, Maryland; and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.
“The MAES contract allows us to build on our record of more than two decades of responsive service to the Baltimore District’s environmental mission,” said Brenda Herman, P.G., Vice President and EA’s Program Manager for the contract. “The team that we have assembled offers the District comprehensive response capabilities across the spectrum of services for which the contract has been established.”
