Perdue Farms Incorporated

Founded in 1920, Perdue is the largest poultry producer in the Northeast and the third largest in the United States.  Headquartered in Salisbury, Maryland, the family-owned, privately held company has operations in 13 states.  Fifteen processing facilities produce over 50 million pounds of poultry products each week.  Perdue also has grain storage and merchandising operations and is ranked among the top 20 largest U.S. grain companies.  In addition, Perdue manufactures edible oils, specialty feeds, livestock feed ingredients, and premium pet food ingredients.

EA has supported Perdue's operations with environmental compliance and engineering services for over a decade.  Services provided have incuded site stormwater management assessments for permitting and system design upgrades, process wastewater testing and evaluation in support of NPDES permit compliance, process wastewater treatment technology evaluations, air emissions source testing for process analysis and compliance demonstration, dispersion modeling and Risk Management Program development for compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Accidental Release Program, and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act reporting analysis and support.
