Environmental Analysis

This is How EA Began

EA was founded in 1973 in response to the promulgation of the Clean Water Act. Ever since, we have been developing responsible solutions for our clients by balancing environmental concerns such as water quality and quantity issues, with regulatory requirements, economic realities, and public acceptance. The diversity and complexity of environmental issues require a collaborative team of multidisciplinary specialists to provide solutions that are realistic, workable, and responsive to our clients’ needs. By integrating technical and management expertise, EA provides value-added solutions to environmental issues and concerns that our clients are required to address.

Our diverse staff provide comprehensive and integrated approaches for licensing and permitting to an array of private sector clients (e.g., pulp and paper, refining, hydropower, and steam electric generating), municipal water and wastewater, and federal and state clients (e.g., U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, Department of Defense, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).

We Consider all the Facts and Stakeholders

Applying available scientific tools and information, EA establishes the geographic and temporal scope of the analyses and identifies the baseline conditions for affected resources. We have in depth experience in field studies, ecological data analysis, problem identification, plan formulation, alternative assessments, impacts analysis, and technical review for feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements. Our projects include the documentation of existing conditions and impact evaluation of proposed client initiatives.

We work with our clients to identify key stakeholders, conduct meetings, develop reports and presentations, and consult with regulators to evaluate alternatives and the potential impacts of proposed projects. We are experts in developing systematic processes for quantitatively and qualitatively predicting the direct, indirect, and cumulative impacts of proposed actions. EA works tirelessly on behalf of our clients to provide sound scientific data to support management’s decision-making process.
