EA’s Peter Ney Elected to The ESOP Association’s Board of Governors
Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 June 2017)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that Peter Ney, Senior Vice President and Treasurer, has been elected to a 3-year term as a member of the Board of Governors of The ESOP Association.
A strong advocate of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Peter played a leadership role in EA’s transition to 100 percent ESOP ownership in 2014. He is a frequent speaker on the benefits of ESOPs and the process undertaken by EA to ensure a successful ownership conversion.
“EA is proud to be 100% employee-owned, and we are a great example of the benefits of ESOP ownership. Our people are our most important asset, and the ESOP enables EA’s employees and their families to directly benefit from the company’s success,” stated Peter.
“Peter has been instrumental in creating an ownership culture in which EA employees excel and flourish, and that fosters productivity, profitability, and excitement,” added Ian MacFarlane, EA’s President and CEO. “I am delighted that Peter is now helping support the broader ESOP community through his involvement in The ESOP Association.”
Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree from Oberlin College. He has been a member of EA’s senior management team since 2001.
