EA’s Lincoln, Nebraska Office Continues Its Commitment to Keep Salt Creek Beautiful

Hunt Valley, Maryland (6 October 2017)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that its Lincoln, Nebraska office recently completed its second semi-annual cleanup of a half-mile stretch of Salt Creek. The cleanup effort was completed under the City of Lincoln’s Adopt-a-Stream Program. The EA team, comprised of more than 20 employees, used trash pickers and grabbers to collect refuse and debris in this urban location.

Administered by the City of Lincoln’s Watershed Management Division, in coordination with Keep Lincoln & Lancaster County Beautiful, the Adopt-a-Stream Program is open to groups and organizations that wish to maintain a section of a local stream and perform at least two stream cleanup events per year.

“As environmental professionals, it’s important for us to walk-the-walk, when it comes to improving the environment,” stated Riley Smith, EIT, Engineer and EA team organizer. “EA recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities we’re part of, and provides employees with 8 hours of paid volunteer time, which is used for projects such as this.” Added Dale Schlautman, Vice President and Manager of EA’s Lincoln office, “It is wonderful to see so many of our employees supporting the Salt Creek cleanup program and contributing to the well-being of the Lincoln community and its precious water resources.”
