EA’s Lewisville, Texas Office Staff Recognized for Exceptional Environmental Volunteerism

Hunt Valley, Maryland (30 June 2017)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it was recognized with the 2017 Ebby Halliday and Maurice Acers Business/Industry Leadership Award for its sound environmental principles in support of the Keep Texas Beautiful mission. EA received the award on 14 June 2017, during the organization’s 50th Annual Conference held in San Antonio, Texas.

EA was nominated for this prestigious state-wide award by Keep Lewisville Beautiful, a grassroots environmental and community involvement organization and affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful. For many years, staff of EA’s Lewisville office has provided both volunteer hours and financial contributions in support of this local affiliate. Encouraging everyone to participate, activities have included removing waste and debris, renewing parks and trails, and cleaning up waterways. In addition, EA professionals routinely apply their leadership skills and technical knowledge, and April Ballweg, P.E., PMP, a Project Manager from EA’s Lewisville office, serves on its Board of Directors. As a state awardee, EA is now eligible for consideration for national recognition under the banner organization, Keep America Beautiful.

According to Amy Wells, the Lewisville affiliate Executive Director, “We are proud to recognize EA for consistently going above and beyond the call of volunteerism, acting as a valuable environmental partner and leader in the Lewisville community.” Added Roger Place, Vice President and Director of EA’s Central Business Unit, “EA is committed to the Keep Texas Beautiful mission, which is to educate and engage Texans to take responsibility for improving their community’s environment. We look forward to continuing to work together and make our state a cleaner, greener, more beautiful place to live.”
