EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Announces Hiring of Christopher Penny, P.E.
Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 September 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has hired industry veteran Christopher (Chris) Penny, P.E., as its Navy Program Manager. In this role, Chris will have management oversight of EA’s Navy contracts, while also leading the company’s efforts to expand its service portfolio.
With nearly three decades of environmental and munitions response experience, Chris joins EA with a strong record of successfully managing large-scale, multimillion-dollar environmental projects on behalf of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). His experience encompasses numerous Department of Defense (DoD) environmental initiatives, such as Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), Operational Range Clearance Program, and Installation Restoration Program (IRP), as well as providing environmental services for military construction. Chris has specialized expertise in the area of munitions response services, and he supervised, managed, and directed the Navy’s largest Munitions Response Program (MRP) and Environmental Program, which included the Vieques Restoration Program.

A licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Chris holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University. Actively involved in the National Association of Ordnance Contactors, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers. Chris has been employed in the private sector since his retirement from government service in 2011.
