EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Continues Its Support of Civic Works’ Baltimore Center for Green Careers

Hunt Valley, Maryland (22 April 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it recently hosted mock interviews for soon-to-be-graduates of two of Civic Works’ Baltimore Center for Green Careers (BCGC) technician training programs: Energy Retrofit and Brownfields.

More than 20 EA employees participated in the two sessions, during which one-on-one mock interviews were conducted to build trainees’ interview skills for upcoming job fairs. The EA employees provided feedback and coaching as well as assisted with resume writing. In addition, the trainees had the opportunity to tour EA’s Ecotoxicology Laboratory, and members of the Brownfields training program participated in a demonstration of field sampling equipment.

“Fifteen years ago, EA employees played a pivotal role in the development of BCGC’s Brownfields training program,” stated Melissa Smith, EA's Small Business Liaison Officer, who serves on the BCGC Advisory Board and organized both mock interview sessions. “So, it is with great pride that EA employees continue that legacy of service by supporting BCGC today.”

Eli Allen, BCGC Director added, “BCGC’s success is directly dependent on having socially responsible corporate partners like EA. We are so appreciative of the hours of hard work that EA employees have generously contributed to help BCGC achieve its mission to expand access to family-sustaining green careers for unemployed and underemployed Baltimore City residents.”
