EA’s Ecotoxicology Laboratory Certified by Utah Department of Health

Hunt Valley, Maryland (26 February 2016)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that its state-of-the-art ecotoxicology laboratory in Hunt Valley, Maryland, was recently approved as an accredited environmental laboratory under a program administered by the Utah Department of Health for laboratories providing compliance testing results to the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.

EA has long supported clients by performing acute and chronic toxicity testing with a variety of freshwater and saltwater vertebrate and invertebrate test species in full compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state regulatory guidelines. Our extensive experience includes industrial and municipal wastewaters, dredged materials, sediments, soils, new chemical products, and solid waste leachates. In addition to individual state certifications, EA’s laboratory is National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program accredited.

“Securing environmental laboratory certification in the state of Utah allows EA to expand our service offerings to our valued customers, as well as attract new business throughout the State,” said Wayne McCulloch, EA’s Ecotoxicology Laboratory Director. “Achieving this new state-level accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to ensuring the highest level of technical excellence and industry compliance.”
