EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC Inspires the Next Generation of Engineers and Scientists

Hunt  Valley, Maryland (3  March 2015)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, recently hosted 20 high school students at its corporate headquarters to foster interest in engineering and science disciplines. During the day-long interactive learning experience, the students gained insight into the comprehensive environmental analysis required for project development, from initial project scoping to completion of final design.

EA was participating in Day with an Engineer, which is sponsored by the Baltimore Post of the Society of American Military Engineers, and designed to encourage high school students to explore careers in the fields of engineering and science. Day with an Engineer has been an integral component of EA’s education outreach initiative for the past 13 years. With science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as its focal point, EA’s education program includes college scholarships, internships, fellowship programs, and employee volunteerism.

“Working directly with the students, our employees demonstrate the excitement associated with careers in engineering and science,” said Sarah Ridgway, P.E., Vice President and Director of EA’s mid-Atlantic engineering unit. “Our team, led by Regina Cagle, EIT, did a great job organizing and implementing the day’s activities. Cultivating budding engineers and scientists is certainly one way for our employees to celebrate their chosen profession.”
