Hunt Valley, Maryland (1 August 2014)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, today announced that it has been honored with the prestigious 2014 Industry Leader Award for safety performance within its industry by the National Safety Council (the Council).
EA is 1 of 47 companies honored with the 2014 Industry Leader Award, which recognizes only the top 5 percent of member companies, units, and facilities in the country. Winners are selected based on NAICS code, lowest total incidence rate, and employee work hours. Upon learning that EA has been honored with the award, Peter Garger, CIH, CSP, EA’s Corporate Safety and Health Director, stated, “This award was made possible by each and every employee’s commitment to creating a safe work environment and emphasizing safe work practices, each and every day. Receiving this recognition is also a reminder that our work in this area is never done. We continuously seek out ways to improve our health and safety programs through effective training, communications, and awareness programs.”
