EA’s Terry McCann Elected as Northwest Regional Vice President of the Society of American Military Engineers
Hunt Valley, Maryland (21 June 2013)— EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that Terry McCann, a senior planner based in EA’s Seattle office, has been elected to a 3-year term as Northwest Regional Vice President of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the premier professional military engineering association in the United States.
As the Northwest Regional Vice President, Mr. McCann will serve a vital role in the Society by helping to link together the five Posts comprising the region. In addition, he will be the voice of these Posts as a member of the SAME Board of Direction. “SAME is fortunate to have outstanding professionals, such as Terry McCann, to lead, serve, and promote the value of the organization,” stated SAME President Rear Adm. Gary A. Engle, P.E., DBIA, F.SAME, USN (Ret.).

Nim Desai, Vice President and Director of EA’s Pacific Operations, added, “Terry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both industry and SAME, and is ideally suited to serve in this key leadership position.”
Terry has more than 39 years of land use planning, environmental impact analysis, and development permitting experience for public- and private-sector clients, and has supported the completion of more than 200 Environmental Impact Statements in the Pacific Northwest. An active member of the SAME Seattle Post for nearly three decades, he has served on its Board of Direction since 1987, including a term as President in 2006. Mr. McCann’s professional affiliations also include the Northwest Association of Environmental Professionals, Seattle Major Institution Committee, and Downtown Seattle Association.
