EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Expands its Geophysical Services Practice with the Addition of Michael McGuire

Hunt Valley, Maryland (26 September 2012)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has added senior geophysicist Michael (Mike) McGuire to its professional staff. Mr. McGuire brings EA a high level of technical expertise and proven leadership in performing geophysical services, most notably in support of the Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) for Department of Defense clients.

A graduate of the Colorado School of Mines (Golden, Colorado) with a degree in Geophysical Engineering, Mr. McGuire joins EA with 28 years of experience and proficiency in a broad spectrum of geophysical survey techniques, including electromagnetic, magnetic, seismic, resistivity, ground penetrating radar, and borehole geophysics. During the past 15 years, he has focused primarily on MMRP projects, performing sophisticated environmental geophysical surveys, remedial investigations, and removal actions on behalf of various Department of Defense clients, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and Army National Guard, as well as commercial clients at numerous sites throughout the country.

“Over the past decade, EA has seen a steadily increasing demand for geophysical services in conjunction with our munitions response service line, particularly within the MMRP,” noted Michael Battle, EA’s Chief Operating Officer. “The addition of Mr. McGuire significantly advances our capacity to support military munitions projects by providing digital geophysical mapping and advanced geophysical classification techniques for munitions and explosives of concern, as well as other remnants of military conflict or training.”
