EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Awarded Stormwater Services Contract with the Port of Seattle

Hunt Valley, Maryland (11 June 2012)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of interdisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has been awarded a service agreement with the Port of Seattle to provide professional services in regard to the stormwater management program. The service agreement covers a base period of 5 years with two potential 1-year options; services are to be provided for the Port’s Seaport, Real Estate, and Corporate divisions.

Under this contract, EA will provide the Port of Seattle with comprehensive professional services to support the Port’s Stormwater Management Program. Individual task orders may encompass projects related to illicit discharge detection and elimination, construction site stormwater runoff control, post-construction stormwater management for new development and redevelopment, stormwater and sediment sample collection, and related laboratory analytical services. As required, EA will also update the Port’s Operation and Maintenance Manual and Stomwater Pollution Prevention Plans, and help coordinate an educational program for employees and tenants, as well as public outreach initiatives.

“We are excited to continue our service to the Port through this new contract,” said Nimish Desai, Vice President and Director of EA’s Pacific U.S. operations. “We intend to leverage the full complement of environmental science, engineering, and technical resources available within our team to help the Port achieve its stormwater management program objectives.”
