EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Honored with the 2011 Baltimore County New Directions Award
Hunt Valley, Maryland (16 November 2011)—EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. (EA), a leading provider of multidisciplinary environmental services, announced today that it has received the 2011 New Directions Award from Baltimore County.
This award, given each year to a company that exemplifies the quality and future direction of Baltimore County’s business community, was presented at the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame Dinner, held on 9 November 2011 at the Sheraton North Baltimore, in Towson, Maryland.
In announcing this award, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz noted, “EA is a national company with strong Baltimore County roots. Their commitment to growing here in the County is a testament to the County’s engineering and scientific talent and spirit of innovation.”

In accepting the award, EA President and Chief Executive Officer Ian MacFarlane stated, “Thank you for recognizing our accomplishments, as well as our future, with this New Directions Award. I am delighted to accept it on behalf of all of us at EA. Baltimore County has been our home since the early 1970s, and it’s a great match for us in terms of generating business, finding qualified employees, and fueling our growth.”
In 2012, more than 200 EA employees will move into the company’s new LEED Platinum headquarters building at Schilling Green II in Hunt Valley. A new state-of-the-art ecotoxicology and biological testing laboratory facility will be built adjacent to the headquarters.
